Reinhard Schmoelzer was born in Klagenfurt, Austria in 1970. His career began early in 1985 as an apprentice in cabinet making and carpentry in which he won several awards for his craftsmanship including the grand prize in Austria for his work. With a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Essen, Department of Art & D
Reinhard Schmoelzer was born in Klagenfurt, Austria in 1970. His career began early in 1985 as an apprentice in cabinet making and carpentry in which he won several awards for his craftsmanship including the grand prize in Austria for his work. With a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Essen, Department of Art & Design in Germany his diploma work at the university won the prestigious Junior Design Prize from the Design Center Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. During his studies he worked as an independent industrial, interior, architectural and furniture designer in Germany and Austria. In 2002 he joined Morphosis Architects in Los Angeles, CA. He then went on to found Formila in 2004. In 2009 he joined ImagiCorps as the leader of the manufacturing department for commercial design. In 2023, he established Master Quality Design + Build serving the greater Tucson, AZ area.
